It’s time for End Of Year Giving and if you’re thinking of making one last donation for 2010, you should consider Goodwill Southern California. Take advantage of the charitable deduction on your taxes, or for any reason, you’ll be helping people with disabilities and vocational disadvantages.

Donated items provide a vital revenue stream that allows us to offer critical job-development services to thousands of local residents. We accept all sorts of items in good or new condition.  This includes everything from clothing and small household appliances, to computers, cars, fine china, art and other collectibles.

Ninety-two cents of every dollar you donate helps place someone in a good job. Your contributions helps transform lives through the power of work.

Goodwill Southern California (GSC) celebrated a grand opening of a new Bookstore and Attendant Donation Center (ADC) in Norco. This will provide the city with a location for donated items to be resold and recycled that will go to support Goodwill programs benefiting people with vocational disadvantages and disabilities. The ADC will feature a bookstore with thousands of current and old books at affordable prices. Attendees included GSC staff, local dignitaries, Norco City Chamber of Commerce, and members of the community in a ribbon-cutting ceremony. A special thanks to Norco City Mayor Pro-Tem, Berwin Hanna for his kind donation to our newly opened ADC.

Income generated from Goodwill stores goes toward GSC mission services of “transforming lives through the power of work.”

Goodwill Southern California (GSC) celebrated a grand re-opening on Altadena Drive in Pasadena. The newly remodeled store now boasts an upgraded store image, making it more than your typical thrift store. GSC was joined by many city representatives, Officials from the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce, and members of the community in a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The film follows them as they reach to attain a higher level of performances with goals of playing to larger audiences. FOIML shatters preconceived notions of what it means to have a disability and reveals the greatness within all of us.
