For Once In My Life (FOIML) is a film that follows the inspiring story of the Spirit of Goodwill band. The unique assembly of singers and musicians, all with a wide range of severe mental and physical challenges, share the common factors of music and friendship. The film follows them as they reach to attain a higher level of performances with goals of playing to larger audiences. FOIML shatters preconceived notions of what it means to have a disability and reveals the greatness within all of us.
Goodwill Southern California hosted a successful screening of the film on Nov. 16 at Laemlee’s Playhouse 7, 673 E. Colorado Blvd, Pasadena, at 7:30 p.m. Click here for photos!

For Once In My Life For Once In My Life is the winner of seven audience awards, and we are awaiting to hear if we qualify to compete for an Academy Award next February 2011. The documentary DVD will go on sale in February.
